The presentation wasn't a good presentation. It was a great presentation!
Roman Catholic AnswerBecause that is what it is! The Mass is the re-presentation of Our Blessed Lord's sacrifice of Himself on the Cross at Calvary. At the Mass, we are privileged to witness Our Lord's sacrifice - the once and only sacrifice - and to participate in the graces He extends through it to us.

Roman Catholic AnswerThe Joyful Mysteries, or first five mysteries of the Rosary run from the Annunciation, when the Archangel Gabriel came to announce to Mary that she had been chosen to bear the Messiah to the Finding in the Temple when Our Blessed Lord was around twelve years old. The Presentation refers to Mary and Joseph presenting Our Blessed Lord in the Temple when He was eight days old to fulfill the law. It was the occasion of the Nunc Dimittis said by Simeon, which is recited each evening at Compline. We feel joy, as did St. Simeon, as our salvation in the person of Our Blessed Lord is at hand.
