There are two "valves". The heater control valve (YC3Z-18495-BA) located by outside of the body near where the running board would mount. In terms of front or back, it is closer to the trans. It is connected to the top of one canister that is connected by a long hose that goes to another canister located on the other side of the truck's frame. There is also a valve (YL7Z-19D963-BA) located in the climate unit behind and under the passenger side of the dashboard.
Unfortunately, the 2002 es300 was the first year that Lexus did not use a IACV in the ES300.

The purge valve on a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am is typically located near the engine, attached to the intake manifold. It is part of the evaporative emissions control system and is connected to the charcoal canister, which is usually found near the fuel tank. To access it, you may need to remove some engine covers or components for better visibility. Always consult a repair manual for specific instructions related to your vehicle.
if the part is bad for sure i would go to the part store and buy a new one. then look at the wire connector or plug end and look on the engine to find the same thing. if the part may not be bad so try to find a picture of the plug and on some engine the control vavle is on top around the inlet on the oldder models, but with newer engine don't have idle control vavle if you can find a haynes book at the part store it will be a big help now and later on
