that is complicated, our brains are. but our brains only began to develop towards their modern state once we began to use tools. a feat made possible through the adaptation of a combination of fingers and a thumb. had we not developed hands, our brains would not have began to develop. there were cons to the development of our scientific minds however, for instance, our photographic memories were lost to make room for the part of our brain that controls speech (made possible through the development of vocal chords) modern day chimpanzees still have their photographic memory, and can beat humans in memory exercices involving pictures and numbers. but while we do it for the fun, they only do it for the banana rewards.
