I'm not sure what the most recent method is, but most computers use heat sinks and cooling fans to keep them cool however there are other methods such as liquid cooling, complete submersion in mineral oil, and even liquid nitrogen cooling. Extreme methods, such as liquid nitrogen, are usually used when overclocking a computer.

The fan, usually. Some models don't have one, but if they don't have one, they won't need one.
