Try wiggling the plug to see if it works sometimes. The headphone input jack on the mp3 player is likely worn or damaged. Unless of course there's an option somewhere to adjust which speakers play. Or the headphone cord is bad and must be replaced.

No, only people can talk. Headphones merely reproduce sound.

erm... haven't you disrupted the wire? One possible reason could be that your mp3 player is not working properly. Its the problem with audio o/p module of your mp3 player. There are two components of a sound file, if anyone one of them is corrupted, it will not deliver over the ear phones. Which mp3 player do you have ?

This is a problem mainly cause by a bad headphone plug-in. Check the device you are plugging the headphones into. Try plugging the headphones into another device and see if you get the same problem. If you do, then the headphones are probably just broken. Sorry :(

User Avatar

When you plug the headphones in, that disconnects the speakers, and no sound will come from them. Unplug the headphones to hear the speakers.

User Avatar

Make sure that the headphones are fully inserted into the jack. This problem can also be caused by a short in one of the wires.

User Avatar

Many amplifiers automatically disconnect the speakers when a headphone plug is inserted, unplug the headphones and the speakers should come back on.

sorry, but you cant that's only for the 2nd generation

DJ headphones normally have swiveling ear cups. This helps the DJ use only one ear at a time to correctly hear the difference between what he is playing in his headphones and what the crowd hears. The DJ uses these headphones to correctly balance sound response. Regular headphones do not have swiveling ear cups.

Best get it checked out by an authorised repairer as there is no volume equaliser for sound on the iPhone, or touch, unless you download an app that includes this feature, which might help you to determine or fix the problem.

Basically, PC speakers and headphones usually have the same type of jack plug connector. If you've only got one sound output socket (and no headphone socket on the speakers themselves), you can just disconnect the speakers and connect the headphones instead.

Download KM player. It can play any media file without any problem or download VLC Player.

Did you recently use headphones? Mine was doing the same thing after using headphones. could not hear incoming calls and could not hear myself through microphone. I reinserted headphones into jack several time and problem fixed. Apparently, something was jammed within jack that only allowed me to talk and hear when using headphones with built in mike. Hope this helpsType your answer here...

User Avatar

No, they don't really have noise reduction properties, but they are designed exceptionally well to make you only hear the sound from the headphones.

User Avatar

The headphones are only for music, not to read the book to you.

As far as i know other headphones are uncompatible with the ipad the only ones that have headphones with them is iphone or ipod

User Avatar

Nope. Anything with a headphone jack. The remote for the headphones works only with select iPods and iPhones. The headphones itself will work with anything though.

User Avatar

This sounds like a loose wire. You should check the wire for any cracks or breaks.

You will have to figure out where the problem is. If it is only when you watch movies, then the problem is with the DVD player or connecting cable. If it is only on one channel and happens all the time, I would suspect a speaker cable or speaker. If it happens on all channels on all inputs, there is a problem with the amplifier.

User Avatar

Try changing the source on the television to AV1 if you only have sound but no picture from a DVD player. If it is on TV it will not play a DVD.

User Avatar

Your headphones can get ruined if you use them in the rain only if they get in contact with the water.
