Why does OD flash on Ford?
When the OD (I'm assuming OD = Over Drive) flashed on my 99 Ford Windstar, it was the transmission going out. $2,500 later, it was fixed and never had an OD problem again! Good luck!

1987 ford bronco II it runs fine but every now and then whilst driving it will die but about half hour later it starts again with no problems it doesnt cut out every time you drive it but most times?
the problem sounds like the fuel pump in the gas tank is faulty.it heats up and shuts off. after awhile it cools back down and works again for awhile.it needs to be replaced it also could be the fuel filter clogs up as your driving then when it dies it lets the sediment back off letting the fuel flow again. Could be a design problem with the impeller on the fuel pump. The fins flatten out when hot causing fuel pump to stop pumping even though it is running.
