Modern vehicles are equipped with catalytic converters. Catalytic converters use heat and oxygen to strip atoms off of exhaust gas molecules. Nitrides of oxygen a.k.a N20 are separated into nitrogen and oxygen molecules, hydrocarbons a.k.a HC3 are stripped into hydrogen and carbon molecules the heat combined with the presence of hydrogen and oxygen causes the two to combine in to a new molecule H2O a.k.a water. A little water from your exhaust system is actually a good thing, it means your catalytic converter is performing properly.

Not much. When the exhaust pipe is cold, water vapor will condense as the exhaust cools on the pipe. After the pipe heats up, the vapor will not condense. Remember that the combustion of hydrocarbon fuel produces both carbon dioxide AND water vapor as a normal part of the process. That's exactly what it is, water. The products of combustion are water and carbon dioxide. While the exhaust stays hot the water comes out as high temperature steam, usually you don't even notice it. When the exhaust pipe and/or outside temperature is cold enough the exhaust will cool and some of the water vapor will condense into steam and possibly even water that drips from a weep hole in the muffler. If you're seeing a little water drip from the muffler, everything is working as designed.
