You went to put freon in your suburban but could only afford one can but the compressor didnt turn why?

The compressor wont turn if the freon levels are too low! It has a cutoff so if the freon all escapes the system the compressor wont be damaged.

Why is my 97 Grand Cherokee Laredo Air conditioning pump not staying on. The electric clutch turns it on but turns off again after 2 seconds Keeps repeating every 10 seconds?

97 Cherokee ACFreon is a little low. Another ViewpointThe freon is more than just a little low. It so low that if you continue to operate the compressor without a proper recharge, it will probably ruin the compressor as its lubricating oil is circulated throughout the system with the freon, and if the freon is that low, it does not circulate, and the compressor will eventually freeze up. Get an AC professional to trouble shoot the system to correct the leaks, verify the correct amount of oil and freon recharge.j3h.

How do you recharge the AC for your 2001 VW Passat?

You will need to connect your Freon bottle to the low pressure port on your 2002 Chevy Cavalier air conditioning compressor. Release the Freon into the compressor. A Freon recharge kit will come with everything you need and instructions.

Do you have to have car running when applying freon to ford focus?

Yes, in order for the compressor to take on the new coolant and oil charge the compressor ideally should be running. It is posiible to begin charging the system with freon prior to compressor initiation, however to get an accurate reading of the pressure in the system the compressor should be cycling with differential valve operating properly. If it is clogged or the compressor is not cycling then then low side reading will give an elevated pressure while charging the system. Does that make sense?

What can we check if our outside air unit has freon runs and is not cooling?

Does it have the correct amount of refrigerant, are the compressor valves good, is the indoor coil plugged.

What does a compressor do on a car?

An AC compressor compresses the freon and circulates the freon through the system. An air ride compressor pumps compressed air into air bags to level the vehicle and/or alter the handling of the vehicle.
