I have a 94 1500 and the tan and black wire is under glovebox. Ive noticed others in engine bay. My procedure on all tbi's.....diconnect wire, start truck and warm it up, set timing at 0, turn off truck, tighten down distibutor without moving it, plug wire back in, start truck and let computer do its thing.

Not to my knowledge there is not. I have a 90' suburban with the barn doors. The hinge mounts are a part of the actual body. I do not believe the mounts are manufactured into the body of a suburban with a tailgate.
