Check inside the engine compartment on the left shock tower. There should be an engine information label which if you can read (usually very small) should tell you the spark plug gap. My 2001 shows it to be 0.050 inch gap, which just set on 4 new plugs and is excellent.
Their is no 1993 olds alero the first year is the 1999 sorry.

It is located over the cylinder head.
According to all books it should be .44
For the 3.4 V6, it : 0.060 inch (1.52 mm)
how to locate and chage plugs
By checking fuel injector or the spark plug I had the same misfire on my 2001 alero and now it works grrat.
Check the Vehicle Emissions Control Information ( VECI ) decal located in the front of the engine compartment ( it will show what type of spark plugs to use and the spark plug gap )

The spark plugs are on the front and back of a V6 (back ones are tough to get to) L4 right in front. Turn the engine off and take off the spark wires unscrew the plugs
