There are a few reasons for the dual fans: Dual cooling fans cause as much or more air to be pulled through the radiator and across the engine, as a larger single fan. The larger single fan would have to be mechanical (powered by the engine), impractical with the sideways engine configuration a front wheel drive vehicle requires. The larger single fan would also be much 'fatter' than the slim design of the dual electric fans. It is much more efficient and easier for the limited electrical supply of a vehicle to power two smaller fans rather than one large one.

If a lower radiator hose was replaced on a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan, but it is still leaking fluid, it could be that there is a hole in the radiator. It could also mean that there is damage to the overflow reservoir or its hoses.
