2- Well,, Egyptians are one of a good example of well-made ethnic mixes, partly they are middle eastern, however you can still find traces from the following ethnicities:
European/Caucasian: Egypt was an English colony for more than 80 years, moreover a good chunk of the Nile Delta was occupied by the French crusaders in the middle ages
African: Egypt and Sudan was one country till 1951, lots of Sudanese black immigrants moved to Egypt before that and stayed permanently as Egyptians.
Asian (very minor): Few families of Mongol origins moved to Egypt 6 centuries ago, though this was so long ago, but their successors survived till today.

This coloration varies, but includes colors that might be mis-identified with a Southern German at their lightest and may be mis-indentified with Pakistani at their darkest. Nationalities with similar complexions include most Arabs, Southern Italians, Southern Spaniards, Turks, and other North Africans. Most of these groups are characterized as "White" by the United States Census Bureau, regardless of how others may see them.

∙ 6y agoMany modern Egyptians find this kind of offensive. Despite their modern self-identification as Arabs, most Egyptians still feel a strong claim to the historical legacy of their ancient forebears.
The ancient Egyptians weren't black. They weren't white either but to presume that a culture has to be one or the other is to accept a racial dichotomy that white colonialists themselves invented for the purpose of sorting the world into "civilized" (white) and "savage" (colored) peoples.
Most cultures in the world don't really fit neatly into either category: are Latinos white or colored? The answer depends partially on who's asking the question: most Latinos identify as white (both in the U.S. and Latin America) but most non-Latino Americans usually sort them as non-white.
