Do you still make Ruger 22 Pellet Rifles and if so where can it be purchased?
Of all the Ruger pellet air rifles, only one model comes in .22 caliber. The Ruger" Air Magnum" comes in both .177 and .22. It is made in China and is sold in this country through Pyramyd Air (see the link below.)
What makes the pellet of your ruger 177 fall out the end when it is shot?
Ruger currently makes about 8 different models of air guns / rifles. All of the current models are break barrel. All of them come in .177 caliber except 2 models that also come with a .22 caliber barrel. If you own one of the .22 caliber models then yes the .177 caliber pellets will slide down the barrel and fall out. Its too small for the barrel. Take a close look at the markings on the side of the loading chamber to see if the rifles is a .177 or a .22 caliber rifle. Lets assume you own a .177 caliber Ruger. but the pellet fall out the barrel when it is shot. In that case you most likely have a damaged air chamber inside the rifle. If you are asking what fires the pellet out of the barrel, then its the spring inside the air chamber that compresses the air ahead of it when it is fired and this air pushes the pellet out of the barrel.

Manufactures don't publish data on this subject, because it depends on the caliber, weight and design of the pellet. Altitude, wind and barrel design also impact the results. Obviously a .177 caliber will travel further than a 50 Caliber shot. ( You do know that they do make 50 caliber PCP air rifles,)

For a .177 caliber air rifle shooting at 1000 fps your maximum hunting range is probably about 40 yards. Your target range is probably about 100 yards max, since you don't need the power to take down the game at that range. For a .22 caliber air rifle shooting about 800- 1000 (with a 14.3 grain pellet) Your hunting range is more based on your gun's accuracy, than it is power. I would say the max is about 75 yards. Target could be about 130 yards or more. For a big bore, your range is usually about 100 yards or more depending on the game.

What is the range of a .25 big bore air rifle?
Answering this question is not as simple as it sounds. I suggest you read the attached link ( http://www.straightshooters.com/general-airgun-information.html) it gives some great information about effective ranges with a .25 caliber pellet. Also I applicate the statement that a .25 is big bore pellet. Unfortunately it is considered small bore. A big bore would be a .45 or 50 Caliber pellet. Also remember that the air rifle power plant has a lot to do with the range. I own a .25 cal Hatsan break barrel and a .25 Caliber Condor PCP air rifle. Obviously the Condor has a further range than the Hatsan. This is why manufactures don't publish the range of the air rifles. there are just too many factors to consider like Barrel length, Weight of the pellet and power plant of the air rifle.
