Ok. This is without question, an opinion, because without actual numbers that do not exist, it could be nothing more. It is however, one of much experience, so here is the breakdown as I see it. First off, they made three basic model packages for that car. The Bel-air, which is the one that most people know. There was a 210, which has basically the same chrome on the fin, however between the two strips, it is painted, not inserted with the stainless. Then, they made a 150, which has the same side chrome as, well, a 55, exactly. There was a hard top version, which meant that when the side, front, and rear windows were down, the space was completely open, as opposed to the post, which had, yes, a post between the windows. All three models could be gotten in the hardtop, or post. (The 4 doors, all had posts, and the ragtops were not) The 150 post was the lightest model, so it was used for racing, thus pretty scarce. There are not a lot of ragtops left anymore, either. The fuel injection models seem to still be pretty common, but who knows how many are original. The rarest from the factory version, however, would have to be the "black widow." It was a 150, post, two tone black and white, with the higher horsepower 283, no back seat, radio, heater, or wipers. This was a race only version, of short production. There was a special contract order for the military for 500 units based on the 150 2 door post design with a 235 cid engine 3 speed trans 4.11 differential gears it feature the no back seat, radio, heater but did have wipers also the rear side windows where held in place with molded rubber and did not roll down and there was no insulation under the rubber floor matting. The intended use was for mail delivery and after receiving 300 units the government canceled their order.
I would say the Cameo Pickup. The 1957 Chevy Nomad 2dr. station wagon had a production number of only 6,264 units. This is the lowest production model Chevy car in 1957 and even lower than the Corvette of which 6,339 were produced. This car is very rare and hard to find. Then there is the 1957 Cameo Pickup of which only 2,244 were built and is extremely rare. But when you factor in engines then the Fuel Injected cars are very rare. Only a few thousand were sold including the Corvette. I have no figures on the number of Fuel Injected Chevy 210 & Belairs produced.
