a double eagle? There is only one 1933 double eagle that may be legally owned by a private citizen, but there is litigation pending that may release 10 more (plus, I believe there is one in the mint's collection). There are only 5 1913 Liberty Nickels, 15 1804 Silver Dollars, and 24 1894-S dimes.
None of the individual designs are rare. Hundreds of millions of each type have been minted.
The only Presidential dollars that sell for much more than face value are some from 2007 and 2008 that accidentally were released without the final step of pressing the date, mint mark, and mottoes into the coins' edges. The problem occurred because mint workers weren't used to taking the extra step of sending the coins through the edge-lettering press. Initially these coins sold for significant premiums but as more were found the price dropped as low as $30 or so.
It's a circulating coin, a dollar
Washington is on the one dollar bill, quarters and the first Presidential 2007 dollar coin.
The George Washington dollar coin was the first of the Presidential dollar series. It was minted in 2007.
No numismatic value. A dollar for each coin maybe
What you presumably have is a James Buchanan presidential dollar coin. It was minted in 2010 and is worth one dollar.
Yes. He is featured on a one dollar coin, part of the Presidential dollar coin series. Taylor's coin was minted in 2009.
It's worth one dollar.
8.1 grams.
None of the Presidential dollars are made of gold, no US circulating coin is gold, it's just a one dollar coin.
The date 2011 is on the edge of the coin. A Ulysses S. Grant presidential dollar is just that, a dollar.
A 2007 "Madison" Presidential dollar coin found in circulation is just a dollar.
The coin is just a 2008 James Monroe presidential dollar, the dual date is his term in office. It's a dollar, spend it.
