To replace the Ford Explorer rear window hinge, you have to buy a similar window hinge. Use a screwdriver to open the hinge and replace the hinge but fitting it in the window.
On a 2001 Ford Explorer : The washer fluid for the rear liftgate window is supplied by the same reservoir as the windshield ( that is located in the engine compartment )
The rear window washer is fed from the front window washer tank in the engine compartment
My rear hinge recently just broke and I called the dealership about a recall and they said they don't have any recalls out on my vehicle. Anybody have any advice. I have a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport.
That's the door on the rear of the Explorer , where you can open the window separately or open the liftgate with the window closed
It is the same reservoir as the front window washer.

Then you only have one working window out of four.
Starting with the ( 1997 ) model year of the Ford Explorer , the washer fluid for the rear liftgate window is also supplied by the reservoir in your engine compartment ( that is used for the front windshield )
