Monopolies exist for two reasons: 1.) The overhead cost is to high for competition to exist. For example a power company owns all the power lines and necessary equipment to generate electricity for a city. If another company decided to compete it would need to build an infrastructure from scratch resulting in to high of an overhead. 2.) The other reason is when a single entity controls a significant amount of a market resulting in a lack of economic competition.
The reason that corporations exist is to serve people. They are there to provide jobs, services, products, and benefits.
viable entity
why do we need weak entity in database when we can make it strong entity?
is there such a *thing* as hate? is it an entity, in the same way that love is? does it really exist?
A Cell
Weak entity means an entity which doesnt uniquely exist and requires another foreign entity for its complete representation. For example, we have a University database and we have a table of departments having dept_id as its primary key. Now, a department cannot exist independently unless there is a university, so this entity needs university id as well to represent it.
In contrast to the strong or regular entity, a weak entity is one that meets two conditions: 1. The entity is existence-dependent; that is, it cannot exist without the entity with which it has a relationship. 2. The entity has a primary key that is partially or totally derived from the parent entity in the relationship.
