There are many rectangular warning lights in the instrument panel on a 2011 BMW 328i. The light can mean that the remote isn't working, that the tires are losing traction, or more. The user manual has a detailed list of the lights and their meaning.
If you are referring to the warning light on your instrumentation panel, then you simply need to check all your brake lights, do not forget the center one at the rear glass.

Coolant system warning light. It should go off when you add coolant.

You could have an exterior light out.

It means your coolant levels are low.
My car's kind of old but I've never had or seen a warning light for electrical problems. The closest would a battery, which is for the charging system.
Brake pad warning light
If its the small red light at top of clock and its flashing... your water / coolant level is low.
