DOT3
Automatic Transmission Fluid meeting DOT3 specifications.
check your owners manual and the reservoir cover to be sure (sometimes the reservoir cover is labled) but most take DOT3 brake fluid.
DOT3 it says on ur brake reservoir cap. Right under the big "WARNING" words!
Normally DOT3 brake fluid. Check you owner's manual or look on the reservoir cap.
Dot4 fluid can be used and mixed with dot3 brake systems. If your brake system calls for dot4 fluid, you can not use dot3 fluid in the system, regardless of being only dot3 or mixed. Dot3 system = either dot3 or dot4 fluid, or a mixture of the two. Dot4 system = only dot4 fluid, and NO dot3 fluid.
Listed on top of the master cylinder reservoir fill cap. Probably DOT3, but be sure. Look on the master cylinder cap or in your owner's manual.
It goes in the master brake cylinder reservoir. The cap of the reservoir says to use only Dot3 brake fluid. This cylinder is accessible on the driver's side of the car when you open the hood of the car. Do not confuse it with the power steering reservoir which is also on the driver's side. The power steering reservoir is the one closest to the front of the car and the cap on it also tells you to use only Honda power steering fluid.
If you are not completely sure that the clutch is completely gone... Start with checking the reservoir you might be able to extend the life of the clutch by refilling the DOT3 brake fluid, If this is the case there is a leak in a cylinder.... so keep refilling as needed but you will eventually have to replace the slave cylinder and/or the master cylinder Refilling the DOT3 brake fluid should keep you going for a time though
Remove the Master Cylinder Reservoir cap and fill with fresh brake fluid from an unopened can to the full mark. Be sure and look on the cap and use the correct fluid. Normally DOT3.
