It depends on that child's maturity and daily activities. If that kid is taking a bus home or staying after school by themselves or just walking home, it's time to get a phone to communicate. If you still walk that child everywhere and rarely have them without adult supervision, it can hold off for a bit. Usually about the time when that child wants a phone is when they actually need it.
Currently 75 percent of children aged 12 to 17 have a cell phone. There is no one right age to buy a child a cell phone and it is totally dependent on the child and the parent.
i think a kid should get a cellphone at the age of thirteen.
10-11 years of age
Any age as long as the kid is responsible. I am twelve and i got my first phone at nine because i was mature and worked to pay for it.
13+
Ten and older is a sensible age to let your child have a phone of their own because they need their independance and this is the sort of age where they enjoy going out on their own; so it's for their own safety to have one from this age and onwards.
I would say around the age of 14-16 would be the right age to get a phone. My younger sister's friend got her first phone when she was 7 she has gone through 13 phones! I am 13 and I believe you shouldn't get a phone until you are about 15. ~Bbproductionsya
No they are too young and irresponsible maybe if the kid is mature but i highly doubt it
Depends on the age of the kid and how mature they are - some kids are too forgetful to have a phone because they'd lose it or drop it or ruin it some other way and phones are expensive.
no
yes, as long as they use them safely and for the right reasons. Also depends on age of kid. I think that as long as the kid is 10+ age it is fine.
This is the most right answer! Don't listen to other ones! At the age of 12-14 you should for high school!
