Magnetec 10w-40 should be the best oil
15W40
In a 1997 N15 Pulsar with the GA15DE engine, I use a 10w40 synthetic oil (Castrol Magnatec) recommended by the local store. To find the right oil you can go to: http://www.datateck.com.au/lube/castr_nz/default.asp Just enter info on your car and it will say what oil is recommended.
dextron 2 the red stuff
The starter motor is located next to the oil filter, maybe the best way to get to it is from below
Yes, you can mix conventional oil with synthetic oil with no problem.
It takes 15 quarts of 15W40 diesel oil I highly recommend Rotella 15W40
Only the weight of the oil, 20w 40 is thiker than the 15w40, 20w 40 is the best oil for the old cars although 15w40 is very easier cold start ...
10w40 unless its a recent 1.5 diesel (renault engine) in which case i THINK its 15w40, best getting that checked out though
Anyplace that sells filters can tell you the correct filter to install.
Above the CV joint towards the back of the engine on the left hand side (as you look at the car).
15w40(CH4)
