At idle, more than 25 is acceptable. Full throttle, over 75.
It has a 5.7L L98 V8 that puts out 240hp.
1=gm division=chevrolet, z= series=corvette, l98=L98 engine
The 1987 Iroc-Z with the engine code L98 (350 with Tuned Port Injection) was rated at 225hp.
Buy a starter for a L98 Chevy V8.
L82 is engine type. To expand on the above, L82 was an option designation, similarly L98 and LT1 and LS1.
just unscrew the old one and screw in the new one pretty tight
Pretty much the same engine. Most of the differences in the engines in the Camaro, Firebird, and Vette were nothing more than the tuning in the computer. Sometimes a little better exhaust system. About the only thing that MAY be different when it comes to the mechanicals of the engine would be the camshaft. But I doubt that even that is different.
I think this is still the earlier L98 engine and not the more recent LT1 engine. If that is the case, the computer is above passenger knees, behind the bulky passenger side dash panel. On LT1, computer has been moved into engine compartment, above brake booster.
Horsepower ranges from 230HP-250HP.
No. The LS2 is lighter, more reliable, and more powerful. Also, the LS2 is newer and more expensive. These engines are totally different from each other. The L98 is a Gen I, TBI fuel injected 350 displacing at 5.7 liters. The LS2 is a Gen 4 LS engine used in Corvettes and GTOs displacing at 6.0 Liters and 364 cubic inches.
Depends upon so many factors, where to begin? (1) Model of the 350 engine (lots of difference between an LT-1, LS1, LS6, etc and an L98) (2) Year of 350 engine (3) Application (what vehicle) (4) Power to weight ratio of vehicle (5) Transmission and Gear Ratio (6) Condition of the engine.
Number8 22 riffle Or the L98 ( btw that gun looks scary )
