India is playing a significant role in IT and world of computing. A lot of backend offshore processing is being done by computer graduates in India. The major advantage for India is large educated young workforce. Their good command over Maths is serving as an added advantage. But apart from being a major workforce for backend processing, Indians are also playing a leading role in cutting edge software development. Indians are making there prescence felt on the R&D front also. Only thing that is holding them back is the poor fundings for R&D projects by the government, and lack of confidance by private players..but this perception is fast changing. In the coming times we'll be seeing lot of high quality R&D and inovative IT related development coming out of India.
