Cell division is a process by which cells reproduce. In other words, during cell division, an exact replica, or copy, of the original cell is created. When an organism is fully grown, cell division continues to function in renewal and repair, replacing cells that die from normal wear and tear or accidents. For example, dividing cells in your bone marrow continuously make new blood cells (Campbell, 6th Edition. P 215).

Cell division has the abily to create new cells and is there way of reproduction is simplistic way. They copy themselves reproducing and creating a identical daughter cell.

The ability to do this gives them the ability to reair hings such as skin damage as the skin will simply reproduce which results in the multicellular organism having the ability to grow over the new damage because f mitosiz and sample space.

The extract of the neutron on the multicellular cell also contracts the cell to divide and create a gamete resulting in a genotype. This genotype then dictates to the phenotype which grows through cell division on the multicellular organism.

What are three purposes of Cell Division?

growth developement and repair

What cell function is maintained by cell division?

growth and reproduction

What provides new cells for growth and repair in the human body?

Cell reproduction, which includes mitosis and cytokinesis, provides new cells, growth, and repair.

What are two cellular specializations that result from mitosis?

By using mitosis multicellular organisms can 1. repair broken areas where cells have been damaged and they can also 2. grow and develope more areas. Mitosis is basically the process of division of cells.

Why is cell division essential for eukaryotic and prokaryote life?

In general, cell division is important to both prokaryotic and your eukaryotic cells because it's used in reproduction, growth, repair, and development. Cell division helps sexually reproduction, as in the case of meiosis, where the cell develops from a single cell, to an adult organism. Cell division helps to function in renewal and repair. It replaces cells that die from normal wear and tear or accidents. Millions of cells divide every second to replace damaged or lost cells. Cell division is also important to asexual reproduction, as it provides growth and maintenance of multicellular organisms as in the case of mitosis. Such as in the case of African violet plant leafs, sea stars, and yeast cells. Also remember, without mitosis and meiosis are essential to the cell division process as well if there isn't continues cell division of exact same genetic material (mitosis) then we cannot rebuild cells like when you have a paper cut. Meiosis is important because without it would seize reproduction and variation within species.
