A willy willy is a small to medium sized dust-devil, or rotating wind, which picks up debris and sand particles. It is not a sandstorm; neither is it restricted to deserts and sandy regions. Although it is more common in the outback, it can regularly be encountered within open suburban areas such as school grounds or parks. It is important to note that, for some time, a popular (non-Australian) information site has perpetuated the misinformation that the Australian Bureau of Meteorology refers to a willy-willy as a cyclone near Australia. This is blatantly incorrect. The Bureau of Meteorology makes no such claim.
Since Taiwan is located on the circum-Pacific seismic zone, earthquake occurrence is quite frequent, and strong earthquakes occur quite often as well. According to the Central Weather Bureau's earthquake monitoring information between 1900~1990, the average number of earthquakes in Taiwan is approximately 2,200 per year, of which, approximately 214 can be felt. After the major renewal of the CWB Seismic Network in 1991, the ability of earthquake detection improved drastically. The annual average number of earthquakes recorded from 1991 to 2004 increased to 18,649 (monthly average was approximately 1,554), of which approximately 1,047 were felt. In 1999, Taiwan had the highest number of earthquakes, mainly due to the influence of the Jiji (Chi-Chi) earthquake; there were 49,919 earthquakes, including 3,003 quakes felt. Based on the statistical analysis of catastrophic earthquake information, there have been 96 catastrophic earthquakes since 1900.
US Weather Bureau Station was created in 1903.
(in the US) The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD), are primarily responsible for promulgating the rules and regulations controlling this activity, and all law enforcement agencies are empowered to enforce them. So-called 'e-prescribing' is not really "prescribing" at all it is simply a non-face-to-face sales activity. In the US you must be examined by a licensed medical professional for a diagnosis of your condition which may - or may not - require them to write a prescription specifically for your condition.
