low refrigerant charge?
We went to our local Autozone and they printed out a diagram for us free of charge.
about $150 for the alternator and 1/2 hr labor or shop minimum charge - my guess $215 - $225
drive cycle for 1998 pontiac grand prix, 3.8 engine, no super charge?
Take the car to the dealer and have them check the map sensor. They usually charge about 33 dollare to check this ,its better than replacing things one by one and enc up spending 200 dollars for a 75 dollar repair
Maybe $100 tops....
Alternator is not putting out a charge.
heater fan problemI'm haveing the same prblem in my 1997 Bonneville and have been told after paying $80 for the diagnosis by the Pontiac service department that it is the fan motor that needs to be replaced. I believe that there is a sensor of some kind that is attached to the heater fan which has gone bad. I haven't replaced it yet but it cost around $50 to buy the fan so it's an easy fix if what the Pontiac service department said is true. Don't let them do it they will charge you around $250 for the same repair!
NO! Do not drive that car w/out the supercharger belt attached!
A superbill, transaction slip, multi purpose billing form, charge slip or routing form
You may need to charge your a/c with coolant.
The alternator went bad. You need a new one
The port is located on the firewall, top/center.
Disconnect the positive battery cable and charge it with a slow charger. Clean and reconnect the cable once the battery is fully charged.
Possible the battery is just too old, or it is damaged.
the dealer normally does this service for no charge
1 hour labor charge.
If the alternator fuse is bad, the alternator is not going to work properly to charge the battery. An alternator runs off the serpentine belt, with graphite brushes inside that conduct electricity to charge the battery.
Most auto parts stores will scan and recommend replacement part at no charge
This should be on a sticker under the hood of the car, or in the owners manual, or available from your local auto parts store at no charge.
check ALL connections-oil connections, belts, belt tension, etc.. tighten as needed and look for anything that could possibley obsturct the intake charge. also the guage may have a bad connection where you receive boost but it doesn't shw up on the guage
Most auto part store can give customers a printed copy of a belt routing diagram for a 2001 Ford F 150. Also, Ford dealerships with mechanics on site can give diagrams for no charge.
Same problem and question, compressor locked up. Battery won't keep a charge. Does the belt send charge to battery?
You must mean Serpentine Belt because I don't know of an accessory belt. On the Escort ZX2 there is no sticker under the hood showing you the routing of the belt. You can either purchase an automotive repair manual, access one of many websites including Ford, Chilton's database at your local library. The latter is probably your best bet since its free! Some websites will charge for the information, Ford will not.
