The belt routing is not only in your owner's manual, but should also be on the replacement belt you buy. This job takes about an hour the first time and maybe 15 minutes thereafter. The entire job is described (with pictures!) at this site. http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=9
low refrigerant charge?
We went to our local Autozone and they printed out a diagram for us free of charge.
about $150 for the alternator and 1/2 hr labor or shop minimum charge - my guess $215 - $225
Take the car to the dealer and have them check the map sensor. They usually charge about 33 dollare to check this ,its better than replacing things one by one and enc up spending 200 dollars for a 75 dollar repair
drive cycle for 1998 pontiac grand prix, 3.8 engine, no super charge?
Maybe $100 tops....
heater fan problemI'm haveing the same prblem in my 1997 Bonneville and have been told after paying $80 for the diagnosis by the Pontiac service department that it is the fan motor that needs to be replaced. I believe that there is a sensor of some kind that is attached to the heater fan which has gone bad. I haven't replaced it yet but it cost around $50 to buy the fan so it's an easy fix if what the Pontiac service department said is true. Don't let them do it they will charge you around $250 for the same repair!
Alternator is not putting out a charge.
NO! Do not drive that car w/out the supercharger belt attached!
A superbill, transaction slip, multi purpose billing form, charge slip or routing form
