There are other Rusty items in the game, all can be restored into Erdrick's items in the same way. You are taught the recipes by one of the DLC quests, and receive the Rusty Gauntlets from it too.

The rusty sword, a scale shield, a trailblazing bandana, the celestial suit, ultra-marine mittens, cotton trousers, celestial shoes and a gold rosary. I would advise that you change it during the middle, but corvus can only hit 1- 50 on you. It sounds absurd I know buit trust me it works.
