All of the species of hammerhead sharks are members of the family Sphyrnidae.

The above is correct and there are 8 species, seven of species belonging to the genera Sphyrna and one belongs to the genera Eusphyrna. The smallest species, the small scalloped bonnethead (S. corona) measures only 90 cm (35 inches) long, whereas the great hammerhead (S. mokarran) grows to over 6.1 meters (20 feet) in length.
