Ok, first it's not a Morgan dollar, that series of dollar coins started in 1878, with a date of 1865 the coin is a Liberty Seated dollar. For an accurate assessment of value the coin needs to be seen and graded. Assuming the coin is circulated, retail values for low grade coins are $340.00-$450.00, better grade are $500.00-$1,000.00 and coins showing almost no wear run from $1,250.00-$2,400.00. Values are a market average and only for coins in collectible condition, coins that are bent, corroded, scratched, used as jewelery or have been cleaned have far less value if any to a collector or dealer.
The coin is valued at a price between $25 to $50. The price will vary depending upon the condition of the silver dollar.

$25 is the normal selling price.
The value for an 1879P morgan silver dollar, uncirculated, is about $45 (Red Book) price. If you have any Morgan's that have mintmark, CC, Carson City, the value goes up.
The average spot price of silver in 2000 was $4.95 per ounce. I think they were selling for about $11.00.
The last Morgan was struck in 1921. A dollar coin dated 1992 is an "American Silver Eagle" bullion coin, it's value is tied to the spot price of silver at the time of sale.
The highest value today is about $45,000.
The 1921 Chapman was a proof version of the Morgan Dollar. Very few were minted and because of this, they command a premium price.
On a circulated grade Morgan that is a common date, $25 is average retail price for buying a Morgan from a coin dealer. It isn't a bargain, but it is fair.
There were two different silver dollar types issued in 1921, as they phased the Morgan Dollars out, and introduced the "new" Peace Silver Dollar. If it's a Morgan, this is the most common date in the series, and an AU would retail for about $30. If it's a Peace Dollar, the retail price would be closer to $120.
The average spot price of silver in 1999 was $5.22 per ounce. I think they were selling for about $12.00.
Assuming it's circulated with no mintmarks, the coin is common with values from $32.00 to $44.00.
