serpentine belt routing vibe 2007
This is a link to the serpentine belt routing diagram that worked for my '04 Pontiac Vibe. As far as I know, this is the routing for all Pontiac vibe base and GT models. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerofile/1436belt.jpg
It is located on the engine block where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine. To get at it you need to remove the serpentine belt and alternator.
60,000 miles or x-amount of months which I don't remember how many months.
Assuming you're asking about the serpentine belt, you cannot adjust the tension. If the belt is too loose it's either because it needs to be replaced or the belt tensioner needs to be replaced.

The 1.8 liter four cylinder in a 2003 Pontiac Vibe has a timing CHAIN
Use a long open or box end wrench on the tensioner pulley, can't remember exact size, 11mm or 14mm I think. Pull on the wrench to release the tension on the belt and pull the belt off. Route your new belt around the pulleys and you're done. Getting under the car to get the new belt around the lower pulleys is usually required. An easy job.
By wearing your seat belt.
I've been informed it has a timing chain, not belt, and therefore does not need to be replaced.
Fasten your seat belt or live with it, it will stop after a few moments.
you have to buy a special wrench, buy a new belt, stick wrench under hood to a nut that will loosen the old belt, take old belt off, pull on wrench again, feed belt back onto pulleys (draw a diagram first so you know how to reinstall it), remove wrench, done! You do NOT need a special wrench (at least for '03-06). You do need a 17mm wrench or socket to release the tension of the tensioner pulley so you can slip off/on the belt.
