What is the setting and the name of the seven signs in Revelation?

The "setting" of the book of Revelation is "the future" [our future, even... just ahead of our generation]. John's "vision," which is the book of Revelation [he was "in the Spirit" - see Numbers 12:6 & Job 33:15--16] thrust him forward in time just prior to the "Day" that Jesus Christ returns to earth [to the time of the 'Great Tribulation' - Seal 5 - and the time when God will have to cut the Tribulation and mankind's destructive activity short or all life would end on planet earth - Seal 6 - compare Seals 5 & 6 with Jesus' explanation of the symbols in Matt.24:9-29].

The Bible prophecies call that time "The Day of the LORD." The Day of the LORD's wrath and fury [upon the disobedient... the Day of Salvation for God's servants... the Day of the smashing to dust of man's governments... and the Day of the establishment of God's Government on earth].

"I was in the Spirit on the LORD's Day..." (Rev.1:10 KJV).

Same verse; [WEY] Weymouth's New Testament: "In the Spirit I found myself present on the Day of the LORD...".

A study of John's vision reveals THREE SETS OF SEVENS!The Seven Seals on the scroll; of which the Seventh Seal becomes Seven Trumpets [or "trumpet plagues"]; the Seventh Trumpet of which becomes the LAST Seven Vial Plagues of God's wrath poured out on the earth just before He descends upon it with His saints [who were gathered to Him in the clouds at "the sounding of the Last Trumpet"] to establish His Righteous Rule on planet earth.

I don't know about any "seven signs" in John's vision. But there are Seven [symbolic] Seals on the scroll that He sees Jesus take from His Father's right hand. He strips away six of the seven seals in the 6th chapter. Leaving, out of 22 chapters in Revelation, 16 chapters devoted to THE COMPOSITE SEVENTH SEAL or THE DAY OF THE LORD... which are the two sets of Seven Plagues that precede Jesus' descent.

So if you're looking for "signs" in Revelation, there's really only one to look for; keep an eye out for the FIFTH SEAL! The Great Tribulation is the next phase toward the fulfillment of the Day of the LORD. The first four seals are known as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: false religion, war, famine, disease. You know... all the every day things that make up "normal" life on planet earth. They've been going on since Adam and Eve chose the wrong god to worship.

And they are still riding across planet earth... building and increasing global distress and horror... until they finally come to a head and erupt into the most distressful time the world will ever see. [Matt.24:21-22] It can't be too much longer with man's technology and ability to destroy greater and greater masses of people and things [and planets].

That's what John saw. He saw our generation... and things just ahead of us that will soon stagger and numb our own liberal minds and hearts.
