1.3mm according to a sticker under the hood of my 2000 zx2.
i have the same car. you find it by following the top radiator hose and take the 3 bolts out of the housing. take the hose off and there it is
if you have the ztech dohc (dual overhead cam) motor it has 16 valves. The cheap soch (single overhead cam) ford put into the focus has 8 valves. this motor has the same displacement as the doch, but it is easier to work on. at the same time it is less efficient, and slower.
There are no real timing marks if its a 2.0 dohc Ztech motor. Bring the number 1 piston (the one closes to the motor mount) to TDC. You can pull the spark plug and insert a long thin screwdriver into the hole. This will sit on top of the piston and move up and down to determine TDC, then check the cams on the other end of the motor. There will be a slot on both cams that should be lined up together so that you can lay a flat bar across the end of the head then be able to insert into the slots. You will now be all lined up to replace the timing belt.
