There are many edible flowers that are great food items. Nasturtiums are one, daylillies are another, and of course capers (flower buds) are famous. Pansies and violets are eaten, sometimes with sugar as decoration. And of course I ate honeysuckle nectar as a kid. There are good lists available, including wikipedia ("edible flowers"). This is not to say that some flowers aren't dangerous (there is a list in wikipedia "poisonous flowers"). And of course, seen from the plant's point of view, I guess they're all dangerous.
