What is the shelf life of Doritos?

6 months is the average shelf life under normal storage conditions. They don't taste too bad for up to about a year. In our fire station house fund, a box with a bunch of sealed small cheetos bags was misplaced so that we didn't eat them for a couple of years. They not only had a bad texture, something had changed in them chemically and they had a horrible sour flavor. We couldn't even give them away.

Just spoke with Frito Lay and they said shelf life is 45 days from day they are made. Baked Gold Fish on the other hand last 26 weeks.
