Shift pattern is as follows, from the front of the truck to the back: 2H 4H N 4L
Pull the shifter all the way back towards the seat and that will be 4 high. Then push it forward 1 time and that will be 2 wheel drive. Push it forward 1 more time and that will put the transfer case in neutral. Now push the shifter over and forward 1 more time and that will be 4-wheel drive LOW.
There is no transfer case on a 2 wheel drive truck.
You pull the transfer case shifter from 2wd to 4wd.
when the car engine is start and the driver shift a gear, the power front the engine transfer to the drive shaft and its transfer the torque or power to the axle shaft the move a wheel.
Make sure its in neutral then go to 4 low then 4 high after that put it in in drive and tear it up
t handle shifter has a pattern of 2H, 4H, N, 4L
have the truck on, put the truck on neutral, then switch from 4wd to 2wd
Move the drive shift to Neutral then move the 4x4 shifter into 4W High or 4W low. Afterwards move the drive shift to drive. This is the best way; it reduces torque on the transfer case, therefore extending its life.
more than likely it is a bad actuator in the front end
You need to have your transfer case checked out by a certified mechanic.
the 4 wheel drive shift position sensor is shorted out
Just shift the transfer case selector gear shift into the four wheel drive range of choice....hubs are engaged vis vacume control activated via a vacume switch located on the transfer case I think
