one down, and 4 up. They are all the same.

Look for it on the steering column.
It should hold 22 Liters, or 5 us gallons.
The filler cap on the 1200's is on the right side, ( foot brake side ) right near the dip stick.
My owners manual for my 1984 Honda GoldWing says to use SAE 10W-40 Oil.
Well, if it is a '84, 1200, then there is a dipstick, with a filler cap beside it. Right side, foot brake side. If it is not an '84, and is an '83, 1100, then there is a small window to look in.
The 1200 choke system uses a fuel enrichening circuit controlled by a bystarter valve. You would have to remove the lowers and carb. cover to see where the cable is attached.
Hi' Can't answer your question but I am looking for 1985 Gold Wing Aspencade 1200 cc mirrors and I have no luck so far. I can use the right side (front brake ) more so than both. If you have anything that can help me out, please answer. I would do the same for you. Al (aj496@hotmail.com)
The 1984 Honda Goldwinger Interstate GL 1200 is a motorcycle. The firing order from a diagram would show that the order goes 2 0 - 0 1. Then it goes 4 0 - 0 3.
No reverse was not available till 1988 GL1500
The '84 and '86 are the same. If you have the carb. version, why not. It's a manual cruise.
regular fuel will do. 89 octane
