There is no revealed religious significance to the color green. In the Arabian desert, where the modern Islamic movement began, there is little green vegetation, except in widely scattered areas surrounding springs and wells. Islam promises Muslims an afterlife in a heaven consisting of gardens underneath which rivers flow.
