Krebs cycle is process and a syage of respiration carried out in the cells mitochondrion ,Krebs cycle produces alot of reduced NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) compared to other stages of respiration...these reduced NAD carries a great deal of energy, meaning one reduced NAD molecule can form 3 molecules of ATP (energy yielding molecule) this formation of 3 atps occurs also in the mitochondrion in a process called chemisomosis.

now since Krebs cycle forms alot of reduced NAD, the more reduced NAD formed the more ATP prodcuced through chemisomosis,so more energy u get to carry on ure daily metabolism (meaning more energy to walk or work ;P)

Citric acid cycle forms a connection between the glycolysis cycle and the electron transfer cycle for production of ATP . Morever its also linked with other cycles where alpha keto glutamic acid is of quite use.

The significance of the Krebs cycle is in the process of cellular inspiration. In this, two acetyl groups left from the oxidation. It is important because it produces energy in the metabolism.

It is the "ending" and "starting" point of the CAC. What that means, is that it is the 4-carbon compound that Acetyl CoA then gives two more carbons to during the "first" step of the cycle, and once the cycle creates oxaloacetate again, it starts over (the two carbons added are removed during the cycle to recreate oxaloacetate).

If necessary, oxaloacetate can be diverted from the cycle to be used for other products (or added to the cycle if more is needed).

The TCA cycle is also known as the Kreb's or Citric Acid cycle. Basically, the TCA cycle is the prime way of NADH and FADH formation, which is used in the electron transport chain. The ETC is the primary way cells makes ATP. ATP being the main energy source of the cell and of organisms.

The Krebs Cycle, also referred to as the Citric Acid Cycle, is one of the central steps in Cellular Respiration. The C.A.C. changes lipids, carbohydrates, and proteins into usable forms of energy by transforming them into electrons and water. It is these electrons that come from the C.A.C. that move on to what is called the Electron Transport Chain, and it is here that the bulk of energy is formed. Without the electrons formed from the Krebs Cycle, an invaluable amount of energy in living creatures would not be formed.

Metabolism. The citric acid cycle generates energy for the cell. More specific: it provides a mechanism for a cell to break down sugars and fats and produce ATP.
