the outcome of his journy was that he was the first time that some one went around the world. even though he didnt make it he was the letter so it counted. ony 18 of out more then 200 people came back and 1 of out of 5 ships came back and you were pretty lucky if you survied

Magellan himself died in the Phillipines, but 1 out of 5 ships, and 18 out of 237 men made it back after 3 years at sea. Antonio Pigafetta, the official transcriber, made it back, and most of his writings tell most of the story.

Magellan and his crew were caught in the Philipine war and he died there. Only 18 of his men had survived. Before his death, he discover the Caribbean Sea and Guam (maybe for Guam)
