Maltese dogs are compact dogs, with their length equal to their height, which would be 8-10in. for males and 7.5-9in for females.
They are 4 to 6 pounds.

I purchased a medium size crate for my Maltese puppy. It fits him right, and when he gets bigger, it will still work for him.
Maltese
6 to 9 pounds
when a Maltese is born they are barely the size of a cell phone, and weigh about 1lb. (and they're super cute) :)
usually around 4 to 11 pounds
Yes, so long as they are around about the same size.
It depends how much the parents were. My cousin has a Maltese that is 6lbs but mine is only 4lbs. My grandma also has a Maltese that is 9lbs so it really depends. The biggest weight i know of in a Maltese is 11lbs- my aunt who feeds it table desert. (incase you haven't noticed, my family loves malteses!!! they are great family pets) I own a Maltese that weighs 14 pounds. He's not fat, just HUGE for a Maltese. He's more the size of a Bichon Frise but is in fact a pure breed Maltese.
It's best to cross with a breed that is similar in size and stature to the Maltese. For example, a toy or miniature poodle could be cross bred and would look cute.
It is called Maltese
1-4 depending on the size of the mother and father
Yes, but it the birth will kill the B*tch due to the pups size.
it depends on the size of the dog. if it's a larger maltese, about 9-12 pounds, then it's farely normal, but if it's a smaller dog then the puppies don't have that good a chance of surviving.
