A passenger and vehicular ferry crosses from Australia's mainland to Tasmania daily. The ferry is called the Spirit of Tasmania.
There is no size requirement for a ferry, but the largest ferries can have a length of over 200 meters.
Wright's Ferry, located in present-day Pennsylvania, ceased operation in the early 1900s with the completion of a nearby modern bridge. The ferry was in operation for over two centuries, providing a vital transportation link across the Susquehanna River.
All modes of transportation incur a cost. At the simplest is by foot. That being said there are many municipalities and areas that have complimentary transportation available from shuttles to ferries, such as the Staten Island Ferry to Manhattan.
One form of water transportation pulled by horses is the ferry. Horses were stationed on both sides of the river bank to pull ferries across the river.
As there would be a ferry crossing involved, and traffic is a factor too, it can vary. In total by road and ferry it could be done between 7 and 8 hours if timed properly. This would mean the truck arriving and going straight onto the ferry with little delay before the ferry leaves.
There is ferry service from Manila to Bacolod, where there is another ferry to the city of Iloilo. It is about 60 miles by road from Iloilo to Concepcion. There is also an airport near Iloilo, from which ground transportation can be arranged.
You would take a ferry to Alcatraz Island, while there the only transportation would be walking.
