it depends on the size of the Microsoft Word files; if a file is a gigabyte in size; then only one. If the file is 1 megabyte in size, then about 1,000.
In Microsoft Office 2010, yes (although it is massive - one letter per page!)
.xlsx is the file format used in Microsoft Office Excel 2007. It is NOT backwards compatible (i.e. Excel 2003 and earlier versions cannot open it). The file is XML based and smaller in size than the .xls format. It is possible to open, edit, and save a .xls file in Excel 2007 for backward compatibility.
Drop down the "File" menu, by clicking file. Then Select Page Setup... Click on the Layout Tab. In the middle of the dialog box, you will see the sizing for the header and the footer. Microsoft Office Word 2003.
Try saving as a different file type. A .jpeg file would be smaller than a .bmp file.
It depends on what the page size and font size set to.
The more words you type the bigger it gets so your only option is to type less.

In Microsoft Office application, you can select whether you want a large font, or a smaller font. This can be done by going to the 'home' tab and selecting the font from the dropdown box, or pressing the combination: 'Ctrl' + 'Shift' + 'P' and then selecting a size, the larger the number the larger the font size.
When you first launch Microsoft Office Word the default font size is 12.
Basically, it's anything typed IN block capitals, but in a smaller point size. For example, your regular point size in your word processor could be 12 point. Small caps could be something typed in all upper case but with a point size of 8 or 6.
