It is the tendency of alternating current to flow more in the outer part of the conductor than in the centre. This reduces the effective cross-section area of the conductor. For this reason conductors with a diameter of more than about 30 mm are uncommon.

there are some distortion in transmission line : copper loss, dielectric loss, skin effect

Are there any vacuum lines that effect the transmission on a 1994 Chevy pickup?

That transmission is all computer controlled. No vacuum lines on it.

What is Skin effect in transmission lines?

when a conductor is carrying a steady DC current,it is uniformly distributed over the whole cross section of the conductor. however, an alternating current flowing through the conductor does not distribute uniformly . Rather it has a tendency to concentrate near the surface of the conductor. This is known as skin effect

What is the meaning of skin effects in transmission lines?

the meaning of skin, is so that the human body gets protection from gems and bacteria, ( also did you know that your skin is the largest organ in your entire body!?)

Are there any vacuum lines that will effect your transmission on your 89 Chevy pickup truck?

No, Not on that year. That trans. is computer controled.

What are the Advantages of Corona in transmission lines?

Due to corona effect virtually conductor size is increase and therefor resistance in transmission line is decreases.so I2R losses will decreases...

Disconnecting transmission lines 96 jeep?

You can disconnect the 1996 Jeep transmission lines with a 9/16 open end wrench. Be prepared for transmission fluid to come out of the transmission lines.

What is proximity effect in transmission line?

The current distribution in a conductor is affected by magnetic flux produced by current flowing in any adjacent conductors as well as by magnetic flux produced by current flowing in the conductor itself. This generally causes the RF to DC resistance ratio to be higher than it would be with only simple skin effect. This effect is very important in radio frequency coils, transmission lines, and most other circumstances where radio frequency currents flow simultaneously in adjacent conductors. It is known as the conductor proximity effect.

How can you replace the lines that carry transmission fluid to the transmission?

if you are asking about the cooling lines for the transmission that connect to the radiator, its easy. first disconnect the lines from the radiator (2 lines, usually on the bottom opposite the radiator outlet) then disconnect the lines from the transmission. remove the brackets holding them on, then remove.

What is the major material used in constructing transmission lines?

The major material used in the construction of transmission lines is aluminum alloy. Steel is also used to reinforce the lines. No insulation is used for overhead transmission lines.

Does the car battery effect the transmission?

Not if it is a manual transmission. And it's "AFFECT" not "Effect"
