what is a Chrysler 2004 I am not up to date with this model of car.
you have to remove the axles by unscrewing all of the small bolts in the center hub after removing all the lug nuts. pull the axles out and then you will need to rent a axle nut socket to remove the axle nuts. then remove the entire hub with the rotors attached then flip the hub over and remove all of the torx bolts holding the rotor to the hub
One front and one rear.
You will need to remove the rear axles so, lift and support the rear of the truck. Remove both rear wheels and brake drums. Remove rear diff cover, you will need a drain pan to catch the gear oil. Remove spider lock bolt and spider pin. Remove both axle "C" retaining clips. Remove both axles. Now you can R & R the rear axle seals. Inspect the rear bearing wear surface on both axles. If you can feel a ridge where the bearing rides on the axle and/or that area is pitted, replace the axles and bearings as needed. Reassemble in reverse order. Fill diff with new gear oil.

how do you remove the transmission and cv axles on a 2004 kia rio ?
They are both drive axles. Under normal straight ahead conditions the power is split 50/50 between the front axles.
All 4x4 Cherokee's came with the Dana 30 front axles. Rear axles were a mix of Dana 35's (both non c-clip & c-clip), Chrysler 8.25" ( 27 & 29 spline), and the hard to find Dana 44.
