i need to know how all the wires go to the silenoid and the glow plug controler for a 6.9 diesel in a 1986 Ford f250. need help bad!!!
starter solenoid is on the inside of the fender twards the cab from the battery follow the positive battery cable at the end will be the solenoid
If you cannot see a leak on the ground under the truck (and you should with this much oil) it sounds like the piston rings are pretty well worn out.
I would not think so unless its below tank level for some reason. You will want to fill the new filter to aid the system in repriming itself.
you may have a short in the ignition swith get test checked, a steering column specialist can do this in a couple of minutes
the glow plugs are located inside the the valve covers on the engine' the wire harness goes thru the cover gaskets.so this is a major job.if you break a gasket while removing, they cost about $70 , each to replace. you also need special tools to remove glow plugs. it is much easier and safer to take the truck to a reputable diesel mechanic.
