It is very important that you visit a Chiropractor. Most likely spine is out of adjustment, or subluxated. Meaning, they aren't curving the way they should so it pinches a nerve which cuts off the "power supply" to areas of your body. This can cause your headaches. It is like pinching a hose, the water can't come out properly. Chiropractors manipulate the spine to correct this.

"Protruding" is the adjective form of the word "protrude," which is an intransitive verb meaning "to expand or extend beyond or above the limits of a surface or a boundary." Using the word "protruding," then, in a sentence, based upon this definition, would lead to something like the following:"The flippers of the large turtle were protruding from the surface of the water, leading the biologist to more easily mark its location.""Blown down in a great gust of wind, the tree limb jutted through the rooftop of the old farmhouse, protruding down into the kitchen area, barely missing the family as they sat eating their morning breakfast."Some synonyms for the word "protruding" would be: sticking out, projecting, prominent, swollen, standing out, bulging, overhanging, jutting (out), bulbous, distended, obtrusive.

No. There is no direct neurological or anatomical relationship between the lumbar spine and the head. A bulging or herniated lumbar disc is not capable of causing these signs or symptoms in the head since it is located further down the area of the spinal cord.

Here's the rule of thumb on tire sidewalls. If there's a dimple on the sidewall, it's nothing to worry about if it protrudes INWARD. If there's a bulge.... Obviously a bulge is a dimple protruding outward, away from the rest of the tire, then a bulging tire has broken cords/belts.

This means that the spinal disc ("shock absorber" between the vertebrae) is protruding (bulging) on the left into the area where the peripheral spinal nerve leaves the spinal cord (neural foramen). If the disc compresses (impinges) the spinal nerve in the neural foramen, there can be symptoms that radiate into the extremities. If the nerve impingement is in the neck, then symptoms are usually felt in the shoulder blade area and arm. In the low back, the symptoms can be felt in the buttock and back of the thigh ("sciatica") and even the entire leg and foot.
