There are other lyrics, but this is what I sang in 1977 on the Oregon coast:
You, you're the one
You're why we rise each morning
Up with the sun
A bright new day is forming
You're who we're reaching out to
Everywhere we go
You're the one we're proud to serve
You're who it's nice to know
At McDonald's we do it all for you
It might have been "brand new day" instead. Not sure.
Ours was a 30-second commercial. (Some were stretched to 60 seconds by the insertion of additional measure of music between the sung lines.) We ran through the dune grass and held hands, making a map of the USA for the camera. We were paid $1 in cash and $2 in gift certificates. I still have the dollar and also the now-expired certificates.

is the name of the song in the new McRib commercial!! It is a very cute song!! I don't think that it belongs in a commercial about a nasty McDonalds food, but whatever atleast we found out about it!!!
