"velocity"
A moving body can be accelerated by applying a force. This force will act to increase velocity, decrease velocity or change the direction the body is moving. All three of these are acceleration.
The speed is the MAGNITUDE of the velocity, i.e., without regard to the direction.
Yes. "Acceleration" does not mean "speeding up". It means any change in speedor direction of motion. If the body is moving on a curve, even at a constant speed, its direction is changing, so there is acceleration.
speed and velocity becomes equal when a body is moving on a straight road without changing its direction.
A body is being accelerated if its speed OR direction are changing.A satellite in a perfectly circular orbit around the earth ... like a TV satellite ... is moving at constant speed. But, technically, since its direction is always changing, to keep it on a circle, it's experiencing constant acceleration.
If the net force on a body is zero, then the body will not accelerate ... its speed and direction of motion won't change. If it was moving a second ago, then it will continue moving at the same speed and in the same direction. If it was not moving a second ago, it won't start moving.

Balanced forces occur when a body is at rest, and when a body is moving at a constant speed in a constant direction.
The velocity changes. called acceleration.
The 'speed' of a body cannot be negative. But if you are stating the 'velocity' then it can be negative. Negative velocity means it is going opposite to the direction that you decided to call the positive direction.
Yes it can. When a body moves in a circular path keeping its speed uniform then it will have variable vilocity as vilocity is the speed in a particular direction and while moving in a circular path its direction keeps changing and so does vilocity

as direction is changing
It depends how you changed the direction of the body. If the body is hit by an external force in the direction of motion, the velocity should increase. If the body is hit by an external force in the opposite direction of motion, velocity will decrease.
