You don't mention the brand tire you're running and by now the OEM tires have probably (should have, actually) been replaced. The good news is the information is right on the sidewall of your tire. After the size 205-60-R16 will be a letter of the alphabet M, N, P, Q R, S, T, U, H, V, W or Y. That letter is the maximum speed the tire is rated for. "M" is the lowest speed rating, good for a maximum 81 mph, "N" goes to a whopping 87, "P" to 92 and so on. The most common ratings in the U.S. are "H" rated for 130 mph and "V" rated for 149 mph. If you have super premium "W" tires you're ok to 168 and "Y" to 186. There are combination lettering schemes above that mark. Now you're headed out to 'read' your tires but one more thing. Unless you're sure all four were replaced by the same brand check them all. The speed rating of the entire vehicle will be determined by the lowest rated tire.

Is a Toyota Camry Solara faster than a Volvo xc90?

The 0-60 time for the Gen II Solara (04 and later) is 7.04 seconds. The 0-60 time for the Volvo is 7.2 seconds. (both figures from the "Top Speed" website.) So, while it's doubtful anyone has ever purchased a Solara thinking it's a race car the Toyota is faster than the Volvo. Cheers

Is it ok to replace P225 60R16 tires with P235 60R16 tires on a 2004 Chevrolet Impala?

Yes it is as long as you change all 4 so as not to confuse the speed sensor.

Can you place tires and rim from a 2009 Toyota Camry on a 2000 Toyota Camry?

Sure, but you need to know if a different size will "fit" (not rub and give clearance) and if the speed rating, ex. S, T, H, V is correct for your car. The load rating probably will not be an issue. I'm doing the same for my 2000 Solara and may in fact buy some 2009 Camry tires. But they're rated only 290 for tire life so I may pass. Go to TireRack.com to learn all about it... Later, Mac29

Is a t speed rating better than an h speed rating?

What is the speed rating for 2005 Toyota Solara P215 55R17 tires?

The speed rating is on the tire sidewall where you'll also find the P215 55R17 numbers/letters. The rating is in the form of a letter as follows: M= 81 mph N= 87 mph (usually used for temporary spares) P= 93 mph Q= 99 mph (usually studdable winter tires) R= 106 mph (mostly truck tires) S= 112 mph (family sedan tires) T= 118 mph (family sedan) U= 124 mph H= 130 mph (probably your Solara tires also used for many sport coupes) V= 149 mph (performance cars) W=168 mph (now the tires are getting really expensive) Y= 186 mph (super exotics) The letter will follow the 55R17 on your tires Cheers

What causes the 2002 Toyota Solara to shake when accelerating?

There could be many causes ranging from a bad spark plug that fails when combustion chamber pressures rise to frozen half shafts. If the vibration is only felt when you accelerate from the same speed or when passing through the same speed you might suspect tire imbalance. Of course if it's a Generation I Solara convertible then the answer is "they all do it" to some extent. The early ragtop is known for its shimmies and shakes so the issue could even be a road surface. Hopefully someone who owns a Gen I Solara will come along with an edit saying "mine did that and it was ......" Cheers
