There are two was to answer this question. There is the Practical way and the Prescribed way.
The practical way is to verify the largest item or number of people that you want or need to get through the door. You also should know how easily or quickly you need that to happen. Then, you design around those requirements.
Then there is the prescribed way. The International Building Code requires that you have a minimum of 32" "clear width" at all exit doors. There is no minimum at all other doors. There are other exceptions and also additional widths based on occupancy (use of space) and occupant load (number of occupants).
Please be sure to contact your local Building Department for verification and additional information as these requirements are subject to local addoption and interpurattion.
I hope this has helped!

Building code requires a 36" door for means of egress not 32" for residential construction. Handicap doors are required to have a 32" clear opening.
Exterior door entry is min. of 36 ins. rough opening is 2 ins, wider not unless it is a double door.
36 inch
At least one egress door in a house is required to be 36". It doesn't need to be the front door, however, almost always is.
I think 18" is the smallest production interior door you can buy.
There is not a quote "standard" door width as doors can be purchased in 2" increments. There are a few building code restrictions for minimum width of certain doors. Like an egress door is required to be 36 inches in width for a residence. There can also be minimum widths for handicap accessibility. These doors in a house need to have a clear opening width of 30 inches.
Minimum 32 inch. Maximum width of a swinging door leaf is 48 inch. Typically 36 inch installed.
36" door, to have access for the handicapped.
It depends where you live. Different countries have different legislation
Yes, an ADA bathroom should be 36". Other doors that are not required acess doors, closets ect, have no minimum.
